Case Converter changes the capitalisation of your text in one click: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, snake_case and more.
Change text case in one click
Retyping text because it was written in the wrong case is slow and boring. A case converter changes capital and small letters for you. Paste your text, pick a style and copy the result. You can switch between uppercase, lowercase, title case, sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and alternating case.
The available styles
- UPPERCASE makes every letter a capital. It is used for headings, warnings and emphasis.
- lowercase makes every letter small. It is often used for tags, usernames and email addresses.
- Title Case capitalises the first letter of each word, as in book and article titles.
- Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence and leaves the rest small. It is the normal style for paragraphs.
- camelCase joins words and starts each new word with a capital, such as userFirstName. Programmers use it for variable names.
- PascalCase is like camelCase but the first word is capitalised as well, as in UserFirstName. It is common for class names.
- snake_case joins words with underscores, as in user_first_name. It is popular in databases and Python code.
- kebab-case joins words with hyphens, as in user-first-name. It is used for web addresses and CSS class names.
- aLtErNaTiNg cAsE switches between small and capital letters for fun or for social media posts.
Who uses a case converter?
Writers fix headlines, students correct text that was typed with caps lock on, marketers prepare product titles, developers rename variables and web designers create clean links from a phrase. Data teams use it to clean lists of names that arrive in mixed formats.
How it works
The tool applies a set of text rules in your browser. For code styles it first splits your text into words, separating on spaces, punctuation and existing capital letters, and then joins them in the new style. For sentence case it lowercases everything and then capitalises letters after a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark.
Good to know
Title case here capitalises every word. Official style guides sometimes keep short words such as and, of and the in lowercase, so review important headlines manually. Names such as McDonald or iPhone may need correction after conversion because the tool cannot know special spelling. Programming styles remove punctuation and keep letters and numbers.
Privacy
Your text stays in your browser. Nothing is saved or sent to a server.
Tips
- Use sentence case for paragraphs and title case for headings to make your content look professional.
- Avoid writing long text in uppercase. It is harder to read and can feel like shouting.
- When building a web address from a title, choose kebab-case and remove extra words.
- Check the result once before publishing.
Troubleshooting
The result is empty. Add text in the box first.
Some letters did not change. Characters from scripts without capital letters do not have a case.
My acronyms became lowercase. Use title or sentence case carefully and fix acronyms by hand.

A real-world example
Salman receives a list of product titles written in capital letters by a supplier, such as WIRELESS BLUETOOTH SPEAKER. He needs them to look neat on his shop. He pastes the list, chooses Title Case and copies the result. For his website developer he also converts the phrase into kebab-case, which becomes wireless-bluetooth-speaker, ready to be used as a web address.
Checklist before you copy
- You chose the style that matches where the text will be used.
- You checked names and acronyms that may need manual changes.
- You reviewed title case against your style guide.
- You did not leave long paragraphs in uppercase.

More questions about this tool
Is the conversion reversible?
Not always. Once text is changed to uppercase or lowercase, the original capital letters cannot be recovered, so keep a copy of the original text.
Why is camelCase useful?
Programming languages do not allow spaces in names. camelCase and snake_case join words into one name while keeping them readable.
